How do you cheer yourself up when everything in life feels thoroughly thoroughly crap?
(12.3.06 11:50) Stop thinking about everything else and do something that you love. Be totally selfish. Hope you're ok. |
(12.3.06 11:51) Sing. Play your favourite kicking anthem at full volume (either in a car, or home alone) and sing along in as gutsy and passionate a manner as you can. By doing so, you'll flood your brain with endorphins, get a nice kick of serotonin and temporarily forget everything that's getting you down. You'll look daft, but then just make sure nobody else is looking. |
(12.3.06 13:07) I am playing "Hung up" non stop. Go to my blog if you need it...Both Sez and Blackrat are right! Hugs |
(12.3.06 13:48) Luda, write a list of positives, things you have to either be happy about or look forward to and read it when you get up and when you go to bed, like sez says focus on something else hon. xx |
(12.3.06 16:02) I take time out, disappear for a while and then do what Blackrat suggested. Chocolate also helps. Are you still coming out next week? We shall drink martinis and forget about the world for a while... |
(12.3.06 19:52) Hey Luda, how are you doing? Is anything wrong??? About my shop things (sorry I have not left a message on my blog back to you but just coming here to let you know), http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZjapaneedz this is the address. Thank you!! |
(12.3.06 20:08) What I do when things are not going well... hummm let see if this one would work for Luda this time. ![]() My niece having Oreo with her nose running LOL! Does this work?? Well, when I am down... that happened a lot of the time in my life but... now I think in a future I try not to rush myself to get cheerful back so quickly. Be lazy and dull for a while until I get tired of it. Try to be cheerful work sometimes but not sometimes (. I guess it depends on how tired you are I reckon. Well it is in my case. Try several thing, you might find something suit you?HUGS & KISSES |
(12.3.06 21:31) Blackrat is right - I singing is good, and there's also nowt like a good DVD of something you like and chocolates. Things will pick up. But one thing what makes me feel better more than anything is friends - instand cheered-upness. Hope you feel better soon xx |
(13.3.06 04:07) I agree with chintzybling. Friends are good, and being selfish is very good way too as Sez said. xoxoxo |
(13.3.06 10:19) when you find out can you let me know? spending loads of money is what i usually do.... just gets you into debt though |
(13.3.06 11:00) I'm prone to accenutate the negative. However, I find that having something to look forward to in the next ten days helps a lot. And that can be quite banal: having a drink with friends. Seeing that Sweetly Painful Distraction in the next office. Planning a good meal. Sorting out stuff for a trip somewhere. Chatting to siblings. Having complete strangers show affectionate concern, and sign off with a kiss. Hope all is well, babe. x |
(13.3.06 13:00) Eat chips! |
(16.3.06 01:14) Two words: shopping + food. |
(16.3.06 01:22) Actually, three: add chocolate. Technically it is food, but... ok, i don't have a leg to stand on in this one. Just add it. |
(16.3.06 03:39) xoxoxo Love ya Luda! |
(17.3.06 12:11) Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate .. then go out and buy yourself a little something special. Gee, I hope you're alright. We all have those days .. really we do. Just know that you're not alone. Here's a HUG (*~*) |
(17.3.06 14:57) thank you all. I've taken note and will try them all (perhaps not at the same time though..) |
